Leslie Corona
Leslie Corona is a bilingual Latina from South Central Los Angeles, inspired by her immigrant parents’ resilience and dedication. Their influence drives her passion for reducing language barriers and health disparities in underserved communities.
She earned a B.S. in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior with a minor in Psychology from UC Davis, followed by a postbaccalaureate at UC San Diego.
Throughout her education, she has advocated for marginalized communities, whose resilience continue to inspire her journey as a future physician.
Now as a first-year medical student at Charles R. Drew University, Corona aims to address healthcare barriers and promote healthier lifestyles to reduce chronic diseases in her community. As Co-President of the Latino Medical Student Association, she’s committed to mentoring and supporting future Latinx doctors.
