Baylor Akhavan-Mora 

Baylor Akhavan-Mora is a second-year medical student at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV, expected to graduate in 2028.

 

With a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and a minor in Neuroscience, Baylor has a strong academic foundation complemented by extensive research experience, including studies on immune checkpoint inhibitors in melanoma and the epidemiology of monkeypox outbreaks.

 

Baylor has served in various leadership roles through the Latino Medical Student Association and the Medical Student Research Society. His clinical background includes working as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician and volunteering in both urban and rural healthcare settings. Fluent in English and Spanish, Baylor is passionate about health equity, medical education, and patient-centered care.
