Juan Antonio Valadez

Juan Valadez. Born in Los Angeles, studied art and design at CalState Long Beach, and worked in the creative field for over 17 years as an art director for advertising agencies in southern California.

Juan found himself most fascinated by medical non-profit ad campaigns, whose purpose was to promote a social cause and provide a public benefit. Inspired by the vital role played by these institutions and the critical services they contributed to communities in need, he decided to switch careers to become a family medicine physician and work with underserved communities. He completed his medical education at Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine at New Mexico State University.

Juan aims to become a community leader working toward health equity. He believes that improving healthcare communications for underserved communities and breaking down language and cultural barriers for immigrants is key to delivering high-quality healthcare. He aims to bring a holistic and integrative approach to the care of his patients—regardless of their background or socioeconomic status.
