MiaSara Perez Salvá

MiaSara Pérez Salvá is a third-year undergraduate student at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus , currently majoring in Cellular and Molecular Biology. She is also a student researcher at the Comprehensive Cancer Center of Puerto Rico, where she studies the pediatric osteosarcoma community of Puerto Rico, highlighting potential biomarkers for treatment and studying common disparities within such community. Aware of the medical inequality the island of Puerto Rico faces, MiaSara has committed from an early age to becoming engaged with her community and development as a future medical professional and scientist. Her evolving passion for the pediatric community of Puerto Rico is the main reason behind her motivation for her future career.​
