Daniela Negrete
Daniela Negrete is a pre-med in her gap years as a research technologist at Northwestern University, where she supports the development of therapeutics to treat Parkinson's disease. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University. Following graduation, she completed a post-baccalaureate research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health, investigating vaccine candidates against human parainfluenza virus 3.

Daniela was born into a Chilean immigrant family in Virginia. After observing the barriers to accessible healthcare through her grandparents, Daniela is motivated in building a medical career centered on health equity and community-health. In her free time, Daniela enjoys running, playing video games, and trying new foods.
