Jasmine Macias

Jasmine Macias is a fourth-year medical student at the UVM Robert Larner College of Medicine and a proud first-generation Ecuadorian-American. Before medical school, she led COVID-19 response efforts across New York and New Jersey, overseeing vaccine and testing operations in underserved communities. Her work now focuses on expanding access to care through advocacy, education, and community engagement, particularly among immigrant and Latinx populations. Drawing from her own background and the communities she serves, Jasmine leads the National Migrant Health Task Force for LMSA, where she develops national programming and policy initiatives to address structural inequities in healthcare. She hopes to continue building a career at the intersection of medicine, policy, and social justice; one that uplifts marginalized voices, drives meaningful systems change, and strengthens her impact as a physician.
