Natasha L. Pérez Nieto 

Natasha L. Pérez Nieto is a fourth-year medical student at the University of Puerto Rico, School of Medicine, her specialty of interest is General Surgery and she focuses on healthcare accessibility and patient advocacy, shaped by her upbringing in rural Puerto Rico. Her research interests include social determinants of health, healthcare accessibility, and procedural medicine, which she applies additionally through community work with Salud en Ruedas and advocacy for LGTBQIA+ health equity via Medical Student Pride Alliance. Her commitment to medicine is advance medicine to impulse appropriate healthcare access and reducing disparities in underserved populations.
