Sofía A. Barrios Arzuaga

Sofía A. Barrios Arzuaga is an undergraduate student at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, majoring in Integrative Biology with a minor in Medical and Health Humanities, and pursuing an MPH/Pre-Med track. Her academic interests lie at the intersection of medicine and public health, with a strong focus on public health policy and health equity. As art of the PIES program, she was particularly drawn to this research project due to her commitment to advancing the well-being of gender and sexual minority populations through informed, inclusive policy and care.
