OBGYN Match
The 2025 Match year will be the first year OBGYN will not be utilizing the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). OBGYN applicants will apply to residency by using ResidencyCAS. This change hopes to effect a more holistic review of applicants by the residency programs. Similar to the 2024 Match, applicants will have 18 signals. Students will be able to signal 3 programs as “Gold” and 15 as “Silver” to show their increased interest in interviewing at that particular program. Obstetrics and gynecology applicants will still use the National Residency Match Program (NRMP) for the Match. The new ResidencyCAS application does not change how the applicant or programs interact with the NRMP Match system. The timeline will also remain the same for OBGYN applicants. Students can expect to submit their application on ResidencyCAS at the end of September (submission date for Match 2024 was September 27th, 2023), have an interview release date at the end of October (Match 2024 interview release date was October 25th, 2023), have a virtual interview season from November through January, submit rank lists on NRMP in February, and participate in Match Day in March. More information about ResidencyCAS can be found on their website and the ACOG website.
